RIBA Plan of Work 2013 now live

The RIBA Plan of Work 2013 is now live.

There are some good resources on the web for those wanting to know more.

RIBA Director of Practice - Adrian Dobson, and Dyer Director - Dale Sinclair (who chaired the PoW review panel) introduce the RIBA Plan of Work 2013 in this NBS TV video:

Architect and NBS Technical Author Lamia Shamma has also written an article on theNBS.com. Lamia looks at the need for change, highlights the main improvements and also tackles some of the concerns:

At NBS we developed the www.ribaplanofwork.com website. What I find best about the RIBA Plan of Work 2013 is the way it is set up to support the digital construction process. This line of thinking complements the BIM Task Group's work in their labs area extremely well. I wrote a recent article looking at the website and some of our future plans at the location below:

Earlier this year Dale Sinclair wrote an article for theNBS.com website on BIM and the RIBA Plan of Work 2013 that was included in our National BIM Report 2013:

Finally, in addition to all of the free resources above, there are also a number of fantastic publications from RIBA Bookshops that give some further in-depth guidance. If further support is needed, you couldn't go wrong getting your hands on these...

  1. The new RIBA plan of work is far better.

With the Flood Water Management Act and SUDS adoption. It really needs Architects appointing civil engineering consultants to produce the sustainable-drainage-design/ strategy and Flood Risk Assessments at the stage 1 so it is in place for stage 2 development.
